Units where video surveillance is conducted:

  • Bledrose Hotel, Cesta svobode 8, 4260 Bled
  • Beestro Bled, Cesta svobode 8a, 4260 Bled
  • Vila Podvin, Mošnje 1, 4240 Radovljica

Purpose of personal data processing:

Video surveillance is conducted to ensure the safety of individuals, protect property, and prevent vandalism, theft, violence, and other harmful incidents. It is intended to enhance the security of employees, guests, and visitors and to protect the legitimate business interests of the controller.

Legal basis for personal data processing:

Point (f) of Article 6(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which permits the processing of data based on the legitimate interests of the controller, and the provisions of the Slovenian Personal Data Protection Act (ZVOP-2), in particular Article 76.

Areas under surveillance:

Video surveillance is carried out in publicly accessible areas within the operations of the listed units:

– building entrances,

– parking areas,

– access roads,

– reception areas,

– common interior spaces (e.g., hallways, dining areas, entrance lobbies).

Video surveillance is not conducted in areas where it would constitute a disproportionate intrusion into individuals’ privacy (e.g., hotel rooms, restrooms, changing rooms).

Personal data retention period:

Video recordings are stored for a maximum of 30 days from the date they are created, unless a security incident occurs. In such cases, recordings are kept as long as necessary for the implementation of procedures by competent authorities. After the retention period, the recordings are automatically deleted in a way that prevents restoration.

Recipients of personal data:

Only authorized persons of the controller and, where necessary, contractual processors (e.g., security service providers, technical maintenance companies) have access to the recordings, in accordance with a data processing agreement.

Exercise of data subject rights:

Individuals have the right to access their personal data, to request restriction of processing, to object to processing, and to request erasure if the legal conditions for such rights are met.

Access to recordings is granted only upon written request, which must include the exact date, time, and location where the individual believes they were recorded. The controller may allow access to or provide a copy of the recording only if the individual can be clearly identified and if it is technically feasible to protect the identities of other identifiable persons in the footage.

It is not possible to request correction of a recording, as video footage cannot be altered. Likewise, the right to erasure and data portability does not apply if there are legal reasons for retention or technical limitations.

Complaint to the supervisory authority:

If an individual believes their rights have been violated, they may file a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia:

Dunajska cesta 22, 1000 Ljubljana

Email: gp.ip@ip-rs.si

Website: www.ip-rs.si

Obligation to provide data:

By entering an area under video surveillance, the individual automatically provides their image. If an individual does not wish to be recorded, entry into the monitored area is not permitted, as video surveillance is carried out continuously and without exceptions.
