Dinner with a View in Bled: The Terrace at Rose Restaurant

The terrace at Rose Restaurant, Bled Rose Hotel, is for lunch and dinner outdoors during the warmer months. It sits a few minutes’ walk from Lake Bled and works as an extension of the restaurant — same menu, same kitchen, a different evening. Terrace tables are worth booking ahead: they depend on the weather and fill quickly in season.

When is the terrace open?

During the warmer part of the year and in suitable weather. Because it is outdoors, service moves inside in rain or strong wind — so say when you book that you would like to sit outside, and allow for the possibility of moving.

How is the terrace different from the dining room?

The menu is the same. The rhythm is not. Outside it is easier to settle into a longer, slower meal, and easier to start with an aperitif before anyone orders food. For lunch, the terrace makes sense if the lake is the day’s main business and you are stopping on the way round.

Can you come just for a drink?
